Our history

We are students of the ITAFM Class 4 of the Istituto Suore Maria Consolatrice in Milan. As part of our training path we confronted and identified ourselves in the world of work by creating our company "from scratch".

First of all, on the basis of our personal attitudes, we decided the corporate roles of each of us and subsequently chose the name of our company: QIT Quality In Things.

We then focused on a different method of financing compared to similar experiences of the past years that used the sale of shares within the school.

After long discussions we decided to create sweatshirts from the school. This idea was born after noting the absence of a distinctive symbol that identified us as members of a community and suggested that we create a symbol product that could unify all the members of the school, both students and teachers.

During the development of the product, through some interviews, we asked the students of the school what their thoughts were with respect to the creation of these sweatshirts and received positive feedback from everyone. After several proposals, we arrived at the product "concept" which is characterized by the writing with the school initials on the front, on the back we created an identification symbol that has a meaning of union and belonging and which is composed of: a circle that represents the school and four semicircles representing the different addresses.

Secondly, we made several quotes to see what the best quality / price ratio could be and in the end we came to the conclusion of collaborating with HOE BRAND a glare brand that perfectly suited our sales target, i.e. boys from 10 to 20 years .

Consequently, we decided to initially produce 12 sweatshirts for each member of the class: this inflow of money would have constituted the capital of the company.

Once we received the first sweatshirts, we started to advertise them in the upper classes, explaining the purchase method which consisted of a deposit of € 15 and at the time of delivery the remaining € 10 (having a total sale price of € 25) , the meaning of the design and the various colors available. Before the actual sale we informed the parents of this initiative with a circular in which we explained what we were doing.

Thanks to the success of the creation of these sweatshirts, we wanted to extend the offer also to middle-aged kids, consequently introducing smaller sizes.

With the proceeds obtained from the sweatshirts we decided to donate a good part of the profit to the charitable association Istituto Dosso Verde.

The profit part left in the company we decided to use it to create a technical neck warmer with an anti-pollution filter inside which will be our next product.
